A Muskogee high school band teacher is behind bars accused of sexual misconduct with a student. Until last week, he was a teacher at Hilldale High School in Muskogee.

Muskogee Police say a 15 year old girl has accused Brian Giacomo of being sexually inappropriate. He is now being held in jail without bond.

36-year-old Giacomo was booked into the Muskogee County jail on three charges, lewd acts to a minor, soliciting sexual contact with a minor through technology.

Giacomo's professional website says he has 15 years of teaching experience. His Myspace.com page says he's worked at Hilldale, since 1997, as a band director and guitar instructor.

Hilldale school officials say Giacomo resigned last week.

The News on 6 called Hilldale's superintendent. He said he could not comment on the investigation because it was a personnel matter. He did say the district took every appropriate action.
