Rural Fire Departments Getting New Fire Trucks

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Rural fire departments across Oklahoma are getting new fire trucks. State Agriculture Secretary Terry Peach says 120 1-ton trucks have been bought with $2.5 million appropriated by the state Legislature for new equipment. The trucks were bought by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

The rural fire departments applied for the trucks through rural fire coordinators.
