Town Takes Direct Hit From Tornado

The National Weather Service reports that Greensburg, Kansas has taken a direct hit from a large wedge tornado. The one mile wide tornado struck the town about 9:45pm Friday.

Eyewitnesses say roads into the town have been closed. The National Weather Service reports 60% to 65% of the town has been destroyed.

The town of nearly 1,900 is located 45 miles Southeast of Dodge City, KS. There are no reports of injuries, yet.
